Assessments for Autism

I offer assessments for autism (ASD/ASC) for adults and for children where there are other professionals available for MDT liaison (such as SLT, OT, Paediatrician etc).

I use tools and measures which are recommended in NICE guidance and my approach in private practice follows the same standards as when in my NHS role. Although I work as a sole-clinician, I have multi-disciplinary colleagues I can contact and liaise with if needed.

I can provide more information upon request but the process involves a clinical interview with the adult individual or parents of the child using either the DISCO assessment, the AAA and/ or the RCPSYCH autism interview. I also use aspects of the MIGDAS-2 which is a neuro-affirming assessment tool I am also trained to use.

I provide a full report with diagnosis (where applicable), relevant recommendations whether a diagnosis is made or not and can offer subsequent follow up support if required including school or workplace liaison, couples or individual support and work relating to ‘reasonable adjustments’. Individual requirements can be discussed during or subsequent to the assessment.
